Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 450g halal chicken breast, cubed
  • 225g spaghetti
  • 150g turkey ham pieces (halal bacon alternative)
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mild cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup halal BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup halal chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (or halal cream alternative)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Method

Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to boil and cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside. While pasta cooks, season chicken cubes with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet and cook chicken until golden brown and cooked through.
  2. Add chopped onion to the skillet with chicken and sauté until softened. Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant. Add turkey ham pieces and cook for 2-3 minutes to release their smoky flavor.
  3. Pour in halal chicken broth and heavy cream, then stir in halal BBQ sauce and ranch dressing. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Gradually add both shredded cheeses while stirring continuously until you have a smooth, cheesy sauce.
  4. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss gently to coat every strand with the delicious cheesy sauce. If the mixture seems too thick, add a splash more chicken broth to reach your desired consistency.
  5. If you'd like a golden topping, sprinkle additional cheese over the top and transfer the skillet to a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 10-15 minutes until bubbly and lightly golden. Alternatively, you can serve immediately for a quicker meal.

Notes

Choose the right pasta that holds sauce well; Customize cheeses for different flavors; Dish reheats beautifully and freezes well for meal prep
