Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Method

Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the chicken pieces with 1 tablespoon olive oil, smoked paprika, onion powder, dried parsley, dried thyme, black pepper, and salt. Toss until the chicken is evenly coated with the seasoning blend.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Once hot, add the seasoned chicken pieces in a single layer. Cook for 5-6 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown on all sides and cooked through.
  3. Reduce heat to medium and push the chicken to one side of the skillet. Add the butter to the empty side and let it melt. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and lemon juice, stirring to combine with the butter and garlic. Bring to a gentle simmer and let the sauce reduce slightly for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Toss the chicken in the sauce to coat evenly. Cook for another 2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For authentic flavor, ensure skillet is properly heated before adding chicken and don't overcrowd the pan. Use fresh garlic for best results. Leftovers reheat well with a splash of chicken broth to refresh the sauce.
