  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  1. Combine wet ingredients: In a microwave-safe bowl, heat peanut butter and honey for 30 seconds until warm and easily mixable.
  2. Mix: Stir in vanilla extract and salt until well combined.
  3. Add dry ingredients: Pour in Cheerios and optional chocolate chips, mixing gently to coat evenly.
  4. Press into pan: Transfer mixture to a parchment-lined 8x8 pan and press down firmly.
  5. Chill: Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before cutting into bars.
  6. Store: Keep refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

Notes

Let toddlers help with simple tasks like measuring and mixing to increase their interest in trying new foods. Can be made nut-free by using sunflower seed butter instead of peanut butter.
