Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Season chicken pieces with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
- Remove chicken from skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sun-dried tomatoes. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to medium. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and sauce thickens slightly.
- Return cooked chicken to the skillet along with the cooked pasta. Stir gently to combine all ingredients and coat everything in the creamy sauce.
- Simmer for 2-3 minutes to allow flavors to meld. Garnish with fresh basil and additional Parmesan cheese before serving.
Notes
The dish gets its name because it's so delicious it could inspire a marriage proposal! For extra richness, use chicken thighs instead of breasts.
