- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish with coconut oil or cooking spray.
- In a medium bowl, combine the sliced apples with half of the cinnamon. Arrange them evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- In another bowl, mix together the rolled oats, almond flour, remaining cinnamon, nutmeg, chopped nuts, and sea salt.
- Add the melted coconut oil, maple syrup, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined and crumbly.
- Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the apples in the baking dish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender when pierced with a fork.
- Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Make Ahead: Prepare the crumble topping and apple mixture separately the night before. In the morning, simply assemble and bake for a quick breakfast. Fruit Variations: Try adding pears, berries, or peaches along with the apples for different flavor combinations.
