- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
- In a large bowl, toss the trimmed green beans with olive oil until evenly coated.
- Add minced garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika (if using) to the green beans. Toss again to distribute the seasonings evenly.
- Spread the green beans in a single layer on your prepared baking sheet.
- Roast for 15-20 minutes, shaking the pan halfway through cooking time.
- Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese while still hot.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately while hot and crispy.
Notes
For crispiest results, make sure green beans are completely dry before tossing with oil. Don't overcrowd the baking sheet - use two sheets if necessary. Freshly grated parmesan cheese melts better than pre-shredded varieties.
