Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1 lb fresh green beans, ends trimmed
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Method

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the trimmed green beans with olive oil, ensuring they're evenly coated.
  3. Add minced garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika (if using) to the green beans. Toss again to distribute the seasonings evenly.
  4. Spread the green beans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they're not overcrowded for optimal crispiness.
  5. Roast for 12-15 minutes, or until the beans are tender-crisp and starting to brown at the edges.
  6. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese. The residual heat will melt the cheese perfectly.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately while hot and crispy.

Notes

For the crispiest results, don't overcrowd the baking sheet. Use fresh minced garlic rather than garlic powder. Add parmesan cheese immediately after removing from oven - it will melt perfectly without burning.
