- Halve the cherry tomatoes and place them in a large mixing bowl. Add minced garlic, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and a generous pinch of salt and pepper. Let this mixture marinate while you cook the pasta.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
- Add the hot, drained pasta to the tomato mixture along with the reserved pasta water. Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated.
- Stir in the chopped basil and grated Parmesan cheese. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Divide the pasta among serving bowls and garnish with extra basil leaves and Parmesan cheese.
