- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously grease a 10-inch Bundt pan with butter or non-stick spray
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt
- In a separate bowl, whisk together buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth
- Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix on medium speed until just combined
- Carefully pour in boiling water and mix until batter is smooth
- Gently fold chocolate chips into batter until evenly distributed
- Pour batter into prepared Bundt pan and bake for 45-55 minutes until toothpick comes out with moist crumbs
- Allow cake to cool in pan for 15 minutes before inverting onto wire rack to cool completely

Use room temperature ingredients, don't overmix, grease pan thoroughly, test for moist crumbs rather than clean toothpick, cooling in pan is crucial for texture
