- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
- Open both cans of cinnamon rolls and cut each roll into 6-8 pieces. Set aside the icing containers for later.
- In a large bowl, combine the chopped cinnamon roll pieces with the apple pie filling, melted butter, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Gently toss until everything is well coated.
- Spread the mixture evenly in your prepared baking dish. If using nuts, sprinkle them evenly over the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbling.
- Remove from oven and drizzle with the reserved icing. Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
Make ahead by assembling the night before and refrigerating; add 5-10 minutes baking time if starting cold. Customize with different pie fillings, nuts, or dried fruits. Serve warm with ice cream or Greek yogurt.
