  • 1 can (21 oz) apple pie filling
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  2. Open both cans of cinnamon rolls and cut each roll into 6-8 pieces. Set aside the icing containers for later.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the chopped cinnamon roll pieces with the apple pie filling, melted butter, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Gently toss until everything is well coated.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly in your prepared baking dish. If using nuts, sprinkle them evenly over the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbling.
  5. Remove from oven and drizzle with the reserved icing. Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
