Marry Me Chicken Pasta

A rich and creamy pasta dish with tender chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, and a delightful sauce, perfect for impressing guests or enjoying a cozy dinner.

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 pound penne pasta
  • Fresh basil, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through. Remove from skillet.
  4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and chopped sun-dried tomatoes; cook until fragrant, around 1-2 minutes.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and allow it to simmer, stirring occasionally. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese and dried basil until the sauce is smooth.
  6. Slice the cooked chicken and return it to the skillet. Add the cooked penne pasta and gently toss to coat.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with fresh basil leaves.

Notes

Serve with garlic bread or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
