Turkey Meatballs

Delicious and healthy turkey meatballs, packed with protein and perfect for any meal. Versatile and easy to prepare, these meatballs can be served with pasta, in a sub sandwich, or as an appetizer.

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup marinara sauce (optional, for baking or serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Mix thoroughly but avoid overmixing to keep meatballs tender.
  5. Shape mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place on the prepared baking sheet, spaced evenly.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  7. Serve with warm marinara sauce or toss meatballs in sauce before serving.
  8. Garnish with extra chopped parsley or grated Parmesan if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, chill the meatball mixture before shaping. Don’t hesitate to experiment with different seasonings or add finely chopped vegetables for nutrition.
