Tropical Pirate’s Watermelon Rum Salad

A vibrant and refreshing fruit salad combining watermelon, pineapple, mango, strawberries, and blueberries with a splash of Caribbean rum.

  • 1 large watermelon
  • 1 cup pineapple, diced
  • 1 cup mango, diced
  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint, chopped
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 1/2 cup Caribbean rum
  • 2 tablespoons honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut the watermelon in half and scoop out the flesh into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the scooped watermelon with diced pineapple, mango, strawberries, and blueberries.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together lime juice, Caribbean rum, and honey (if using).
  4. Pour the rum mixture over the fruits and gently toss to coat.
  5. Sprinkle chopped fresh mint on top and give it one last gentle toss before serving.

Notes

Serve chilled for the best flavor. Use the other half of the watermelon as a bowl for a playful presentation.
