2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
3–4 medium apples, peeled and diced
1 cup salted caramel sauce
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan with butter or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the flour, salt, and cinnamon, and mix until combined. Press half of this mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
In another bowl, toss the diced apples with remaining cinnamon and a little brown sugar. Spread the apple mixture evenly over the crust in the baking pan.
Drizzle half of the salted caramel sauce evenly over the apples.
Crumble the remaining crust mixture over the apple layer, then drizzle the top with the rest of the salted caramel sauce.
Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the apples are tender.
Allow the bars to cool in the pan before cutting into squares. For an extra touch, serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
