1 lb Ground Beef
1 Medium Onion, diced
3 Garlic Cloves, minced
1 Can (28 oz) Crushed Tomatoes
4 Cups Chicken or Vegetable Broth
2 Cups Pasta (any shape)
1 tsp Italian Seasoning
Salt and Pepper, to taste
1 Cup Spinach, chopped
1/2 Cup Ricotta Cheese (for topping)
Cook the Ground Meat: In a large pot, brown the ground beef (or your chosen substitute) over medium heat until it’s no longer pink. Drain excess fat if necessary.
Add Aromatics: Toss in the diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent and fragrant, about 4-5 minutes.
Combine the Tomatoes: Stir in the crushed tomatoes, broth, and Italian seasoning. Bring this mixture to a simmer.
Incorporate the Pasta: Add the pasta of your choice and cook according to the package instructions. Stir often to prevent sticking.
Vegetable Addition: Once the pasta is nearly cooked, add in your chopped spinach and let it wilt, enhancing the nutritional aspect of your meal.
Season to Taste: Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper, adding in optional spices as desired.
Serve and Garnish: Ladle servings into bowls and top each with a dollop of ricotta or your creamy choice. Sprinkle extra cheese if desired and enjoy!
