Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, toss the sliced apples with sugar and cinnamon until they’re well-coated.
In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Melt the butter and combine it with milk before adding it to the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined.
In a greased baking dish, layer the cinnamon-sugar coated apples at the bottom, then pour the batter over the apples, spreading it evenly.
Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes or until the cobbler is golden brown and the apples are bubbling.
Allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving. Top with ice cream or whipped cream if desired!
