Strawberry Hibiscus Tea

A refreshing blend of floral hibiscus and sweet strawberries, perfect for summer gatherings or quiet afternoons.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup dried hibiscus flowers
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Ice cubes (for serving)
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil the Water: Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan.
  2. Steep the Hibiscus Flowers: Remove from heat and add dried hibiscus flowers. Let steep for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Strain the Tea: Strain the mixture into a pitcher using a fine mesh strainer.
  4. Mix in the Strawberries and Sweeteners: Add sliced strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice to the pitcher; stir until dissolved.
  5. Chill the Tea: Allow to cool to room temperature and refrigerate until chilled.
  6. Serve and Garnish: Pour over ice cubes in glasses and garnish with mint leaves if desired.

Notes

Quality dried hibiscus flowers enhance flavor. Experiment with different fruits or sweeteners for variation.
