Steak, Egg, and Cheese Bagels

A hearty and flavorful sandwich combining shaved steak, fluffy scrambled eggs, and melty American cheese, all nestled in crispy toasted bagels.

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 small onion, sliced thinly
  • 1/2 pound shaved steak
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon Montreal steak seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 slices American cheese
  • 2 bagels, halved and toasted
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried dill
  • Hot sauce or sriracha for spice
  • Fresh avocado slices for extra flavor

Instructions

  1. Mix together mayonnaise, mustard, and dried dill in a bowl. Add hot sauce if desired. Set aside.
  2. Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet. Sauté sliced onion for 5-7 minutes until caramelized.
  3. Beat eggs in a bowl. Push onions to the side, add 2 tablespoons of butter, and scramble eggs until just set.
  4. Add shaved steak to the skillet, season with Montreal steak seasoning and Worcestershire sauce, and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Toast bagels until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Assemble the sandwich with the sauce, scrambled eggs, sautéed onions, steak, and American cheese on toasted bagels.

Notes
