Spooky Spaghetti and Cheese Stuffed Meatballs

A fun and creative dish that combines classic spaghetti and meatballs with a spooky twist, featuring a cheesy surprise in every meatball.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (or turkey)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese (cubed)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh basil (for garnish)
  • Black olives (for eyes)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the ground beef (or turkey), breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Take a small amount of the mixture and flatten it in your palm. Place a cube of mozzarella cheese in the center and mold the meat around it to form a meatball. Repeat until all the mixture is used.
  4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until browned and cooked through.
  6. While the meatballs are baking, cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  7. In a saucepan, heat the marinara sauce over medium heat until warmed through.
  8. Once the meatballs are done, add them to the sauce. Allow them to simmer for a few minutes to soak in the sauce flavors.
  9. To serve, place a helping of spaghetti on each plate. Top it with the marinara sauce and meatballs. For a spooky effect, use black olives as eyes on the meatballs. Garnish with fresh basil.

Notes

Use lean ground meat for a healthier option. For extra flavor, add chopped herbs like parsley or oregano to the meat mixture.
