Spinach and Feta Quiche

A delightful quiche combining fresh spinach and tangy feta, perfect for brunch, lunch, or dinner.

  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (if using onion)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. If using onions, heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté until translucent (3-5 minutes).
  3. Add chopped spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted and bright green, then set aside to cool slightly.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg until fluffy.
  5. Fold in cooled spinach (and onions if used) and crumbled feta cheese.
  6. Pour filling into the pie crust placed on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Pairs well with a salad or fresh fruit. Can be served warm or cold.
