  • 1 cup packed light or dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, brown sugar, and maple syrup until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  • Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  • Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
