Ingredients
Scale
1 pound Italian sausage (mild or spicy)
1 yellow onion, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1 yellow bell pepper, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
3 cups marinara sauce
1 package (25 oz) frozen cheese ravioli
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Cook the Italian sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned, about 5 to 7 minutes. Drain excess grease and set aside.
Sauté chopped onion and bell peppers in the same skillet until softened, about 4 to 5 minutes.
Layer in the slow cooker: start with marinara sauce, then half of the ravioli, half of the cooked sausage, half of the sautéed vegetables, and a layer of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Repeat the layering process.
Sprinkle oregano, basil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add any remaining marinara sauce over the layers.
Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours until ravioli are tender and cheese is melted.
Let cool for a few minutes, then serve with garlic bread or salad.
Notes
Customize with your choice of ingredients and adjust cooking time if using fresh ravioli.
