Savory-Sweet Apple Bacon Beer Bread

  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 cup Chopped Apple (Honeycrisp or Gala recommended)
  • 1 cup Bacon (or turkey bacon for a lighter option)
  • 1/2 cup Butter (melted)
  • 1 cup Beer
  • 1 cup Cheese (Cheddar or favorite cheese)
  • 1/2 cup Nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly grease a loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.
  3. If using regular bacon, cook it until crispy, then chop it into small pieces.
  4. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  5. In another bowl, mix melted butter and beer. Then, add chopped apples and bacon.
  6. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  7. Fold in cheese and nuts.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  9. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
