Ritz Cracker Party Sandwiches

Delicious and easy-to-make sandwiches using Ritz crackers, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 24 Ritz Crackers (Any buttery cracker will work in a pinch.)
  • 8 oz Ham (Can substitute with turkey, roast beef, or salami.)
  • 8 oz Swiss Cheese (Cheddar or pepper jack are excellent alternatives.)
  • ¼ cup Melted Butter (Olive oil offers a lighter option.)
  • 1 tbsp Dijon Mustard (Yellow mustard is a good substitute or omit for milder taste.)
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder (Fresh garlic or garlic salt can replace if desired.)
  • 1 tbsp Poppy Seeds (Sesame seeds can be used instead or omitted.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Lay out 12 Ritz Crackers on a baking sheet.
  3. On each cracker, place a slice of ham followed by a slice of Swiss cheese.
  4. Top each layered cracker with another Ritz Cracker.
  5. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and poppy seeds. Mix well.
  6. Brush the butter mixture generously on top of each sandwich.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the crackers are golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving warm.

Notes

Make sandwiches ahead of time and bake just before serving for the best texture.
