Rib Cage Mac & Cheese

A fun and spooky twist on classic mac and cheese, perfect for Halloween parties.

  • 8 oz Elbow Macaroni
  • 2 cups Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 2 tbsp Flour
  • 1 cup Bread Crumbs
  • 1 can Crescent Roll Dough
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook elbow macaroni until al dente (7-8 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat, then add flour to make a roux. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Gradually whisk in milk until thickened (3-5 minutes).
  4. Add cheddar cheese to the mixture and stir until melted. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  5. Mix cooked macaroni into the cheese sauce until evenly coated.
  6. Unroll the crescent roll dough and shape it into rib-like forms.
  7. In a baking dish, layer macaroni and cheese, then position the shaped dough on top.
  8. Sprinkle breadcrumbs over the dish and bake in a preheated 350°F (175°C) oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with different types of cheese or add proteins and vegetables for more flavor.
