In another bowl, beat together the pumpkin purée, sugar, egg, and cream cheese until smooth.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring just until combined.
Lightly grease your doughnut pan to prevent sticking.
Pour the batter into the doughnut pan, filling each cavity about ¾ full.
Bake for 15-18 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted into a doughnut.
Allow the doughnuts to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
