Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and any additional spices you wish.
In a separate large bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, eggs, and vegetable oil until smooth.
Gradually add the dry mixture to the pumpkin mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan.
Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
