Perfectly Fluffy Popovers

Delightfully airy and golden popovers, perfect for any occasion, from holiday dinners to casual brunches.

  • 4 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 2 cups whole milk (lukewarm, about 110°F)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (spoon and level)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (let it cool slightly)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Grease each cup of a popover pan or muffin tin with non-stick spray or butter.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs until fully blended, then mix in the lukewarm milk and salt until combined.
  4. Gradually add the flour to the egg mixture, mixing just until no dry flour remains.
  5. Pour the melted butter into the batter and stir until combined.
  6. Pour or ladle the batter into the prepared pans, filling each cup about half full.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes without opening the door.
  8. Once golden brown, let cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, use room temperature ingredients and do not open the oven door during baking.
