  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • If you want to brine your chicken pieces, mix water, salt, and sugar. Soak the chicken for at least 30 minutes, then pat dry.
  • In a bowl, pour the buttermilk and season with a bit of salt and pepper. Dredge each piece of chicken in the buttermilk, allowing the excess to drip off.
  • In another bowl, mix breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Ensure the mixture is well-combined.
  • Dip each chicken piece in the breadcrumb mixture. Press the breadcrumbs onto the chicken to ensure they stick well.
