Old-Fashioned Egg Custard Pie

A classic dessert that combines creamy texture, gentle sweetness, and a hint of vanilla, perfect for any occasion.

  • 1/4 cup butter, melted and slightly cooled
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • Ground nutmeg, for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9.5-inch pie plate.
  2. In a blender or food processor, combine the melted butter, eggs, granulated sugar, salt, whole milk, vanilla extract, and flour. Blend for about 30 seconds until smooth.
  3. Pour the custard mixture into the prepared pie dish and lightly sprinkle ground nutmeg on top.
  4. Bake for about 45 minutes until the custard is firm but slightly jiggly in the middle.
  5. Allow the pie to cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes
