Melt-in-Your-Mouth Christmas Slice & Bake Cookies

These delightful slice-and-bake cookies are perfect for sharing during the holiday season, combining rich butter, sweet sugars, and festive ingredients for a unique flavor.

  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 1 cup Granulated Cane Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Walnuts, chopped
  • 1 cup Dried Cranberries
  • 1 cup Milk or White Chocolate
  • 8 ounces Dark Chocolate
  • 1 cup Crushed Peppermint Candy Canes
  • 1 cup Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add vanilla extract and salt to the creamed mixture, and mix until combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the flour until there are no lumps.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in walnuts, cranberries, milk or white chocolate, dark chocolate, and crushed peppermint.
  6. Divide the dough into two equal portions and roll each into a log about 2 inches in diameter. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  7. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Once firm, slice the dough into 1/4-inch thick rounds.
  9. Place sliced cookies on a lined baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  10. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to a week. Can be frozen for up to three months.
