Meatball Mummies

A fun and spooky twist on traditional meatballs, perfect for Halloween or game day!

Ingredients

  • Frozen or homemade meatballs
  • Marinara sauce
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Olive oil
  • Black olives

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. If using frozen meatballs, cook according to package instructions.
  3. For homemade meatballs, prepare your favorite meatball recipe.
  4. Place the cooked meatballs on a baking sheet.
  5. Using mozzarella cheese, wrap the meatballs to create a ‘mummy’ effect, leaving a small space for the eyes.
  6. Drizzle with olive oil and bake for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and slightly golden.
  7. Remove from the oven and place small pieces of black olives in the open space for the eyes.
  8. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

For extra flavor, add different spices to your meatball mixture. These can be prepared ahead of time and even frozen before baking.
