1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 large egg
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
Incorporate the maple syrup and the egg into the mixture, followed by vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
Drop tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden but the centers are still soft.
Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
