  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions (for garnish)
  • Sour cream (optional)
  • Jalapeños (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Fries: Cook frozen French fries according to package instructions until crispy.
  2. Cook the Meat: In a skillet, sauté chopped onion and minced garlic until soft, then add ground beef or turkey and cook until browned.
  3. Add the Chili Ingredients: Stir in kidney beans, chili powder, and diced tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper, then simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Assemble the Dish: Transfer fries to a serving platter and top with the chili mixture.
  5. Melt the Cheese: Sprinkle shredded cheese on top and broil until melted and bubbly.
