Ham and Cheese Puff Pastry Pockets

Crispy and delicious puff pastry pockets filled with savory ham and oozy cheese, perfect for snacks, picnics, or parties.

  • 1 sheet Puff pastry (Thawed)
  • 8 slices Ham (Thinly sliced)
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese (Or cheddar)
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard (Optional)
  • 1 large Egg (Beaten)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley (Optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until it’s about 1/8 inch thick.
  3. Cut the pastry into 4 inch by 4 inch squares.
  4. On a lined baking sheet, place one square of pastry and spread Dijon mustard in the center.
  5. Layer with one slice of ham and one slice of cheese, leaving space at the edges.
  6. Top with another square of pastry and seal the edges by pressing down, then crimp with a fork for a better seal.
  7. Brush the tops with the beaten egg and sprinkle fresh parsley, if desired.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Excellent for parties and can be paired with dipping sauces.
