Instant Pot Shredded Beef

Tender and flavorful Instant Pot Shredded Beef, perfect for tacos, burritos, or served over rice.

  • 2 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Set Instant Pot to sauté function to heat it up.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  3. Season the beef chuck roast with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, chili powder, and cumin, rubbing the spices into the meat.
  4. Place the seasoned beef roast into the Instant Pot.
  5. Pour in 1 cup of beef broth.
  6. Seal the lid, set the valve to sealing, and cook on manual mode for 60 minutes.
  7. After cooking, allow a natural pressure release for 10 minutes, then quick release any remaining steam.
  8. Remove beef and shred with forks.
  9. Serve as desired.

Notes

For meal prep, this shredded beef can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
