Homemade Crazy Chicken

A flavorful chicken dish featuring a tangy marinade of citrus and spices, perfect for any occasion.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs (or breasts)
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped cilantro and lime wedges for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together lime juice, orange juice, olive oil, minced garlic, smoked paprika, ground cumin, chili powder, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
  2. Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken in a resealable bag or dish, pour the marinade over, seal tightly, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  3. Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Grill the Chicken: Remove chicken from marinade, discard leftover marinade, and grill for 5-7 minutes per side until cooked through (internal temperature reaches 165°F/75°C).
  5. Let It Rest: Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  6. Serve: Garnish with chopped cilantro and lime wedges if desired.

Notes

Marinate for longer for better flavor. Adjust spices to your taste.
