Homemade Cranberry Sauce

A delicious homemade cranberry sauce perfect for holiday meals, packed with fresh flavors and nutrients.

  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped

Instructions

  1. Combine Water and Sugar: In a medium saucepan, pour in the water and sugar. Set the heat to medium and stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  2. Add Fresh Cranberries: Once the sugar is dissolved, add the cranberries to the saucepan and bring to a boil.
  3. Simmer the Sauce: Reduce heat to simmer and cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add Orange Zest and Rosemary: Once the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens, remove from heat and stir in the orange zest and chopped rosemary.
  5. Cool Before Serving: Let the sauce cool to room temperature before serving, or chill in the refrigerator.

Notes

Adjust sweetness and add spices according to preference. This sauce can be made ahead of time and will keep well in the refrigerator.
