2 cups all-purpose flour
1 ½ cups sugar
1 cup butter, softened
4 large eggs
1 cup milk
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp chai spice blend (cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves)
Preheat your oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
Mix dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and chai spice blend. Set aside.
Cream butter and sugar: In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
Add eggs: Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
Combine ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk. Mix until just combined.
Pour into prepared pans: Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans.
Bake: Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool: Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for about 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Frost and serve: Once cooled, frost with your favorite frosting and enjoy!
