Ground Turkey Pasta

A quick and healthy ground turkey pasta dish, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 8 oz pasta (your choice – penne, spaghetti, or fusilli)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped (red or green)
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (like oregano and basil)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil (for cooking)
  • Parmesan cheese (for serving)
  • Fresh basil (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water, add pasta, and cook according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onion and bell pepper for about 5 minutes until soft.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute. Add ground turkey, breaking it apart, and cook until no longer pink, about 7-10 minutes.
  4. Stir in dried Italian herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  5. Pour in marinara sauce and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  6. Add drained pasta to the skillet and toss to coat evenly.
  7. Serve hot, topped with Parmesan cheese and fresh basil if desired.

Notes
