Egg Yolk Nougat

Soft, chewy nougat made with egg yolks, almond flour, and honey, offering a sweet and rich flavor perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups egg yolks
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar and honey in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  2. Whisk the egg yolks until light and frothy in a separate bowl.
  3. Gradually add warm sugar mixture to egg yolks while whisking continuously.
  4. Transfer mixture back to saucepan and cook on low heat, stirring until it thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in almond flour, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
  6. Pour nougat mixture into a lined mold and let cool at room temperature.
  7. Once cooled, remove from mold and cut into bite-sized pieces.

Notes

Store nougat in an airtight container to keep it fresh and chewy. Refrigerate in warm climates.
