6 cups of diced apples (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp)
1 cup of granulated sugar
1/2 cup of unsalted butter
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 refrigerated pie crust
1/2 cup of toffee bits
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced apples, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and half of the toffee bits. Mix well until the apples are evenly coated.
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the apple mixture and cook for about 5-7 minutes until the apples start to soften. Stir occasionally.
Roll out the pie crust and place it into a 9-inch pie dish. Trim any overhanging edges and flute the border as desired.
Pour the cooked apple mixture into the pie crust. Sprinkle the remaining toffee bits over the top.
Cover the pie with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the crust is golden brown.
Allow the pie to cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream for an extra touch of indulgence.
