Easy Rugelach Cookies

Delightful pastries with a flaky crust and sweet fillings, perfect for dessert or snacks with coffee or tea.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup jam (raspberry, apricot, or chocolate)
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the butter and cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Stir in sugar and salt, then gradually add flour to form a dough.
  4. Divide the dough into four pieces and roll each into a circle.
  5. Spread jam over each circle, then sprinkle with nuts and cinnamon sugar.
  6. Cut into wedges and roll each wedge from the wide end to the point.
  7. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and sprinkle with additional sugar.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let cool before serving.
