Easy Firecracker Shrimp

A delightful combination of crispy texture, sweet undertones, and spicy kick, perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 lb Large Shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails on
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Fresh Garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp Fresh Ginger, minced
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tsp Sriracha
  • ¼ cup All-Purpose Flour
  • ¼ cup Cornstarch
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Black Pepper
  • Green Onions, for garnish
  • Sesame Seeds, optional

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Shrimp: Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Marinate the Shrimp: Combine minced garlic, ginger, soy sauce, honey, and Sriracha. Add shrimp and marinate for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Mix the Coating: Combine flour, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
  4. Coat the Shrimp: Dredge the marinated shrimp in the flour-cornstarch mixture and shake off excess.
  5. Heat the Oil: In a frying pan, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  6. Fry the Shrimp: Cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Drain and Serve: Remove shrimp from pan and place on paper towels. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
  8. Enjoy: Serve immediately, with options to pair with rice, salad, or on their own.

Notes

For best results, use fresh shrimp and avoid overcrowding the pan while frying.
