Deliciously Roasted Apples

A simple and delightful dessert featuring roasted Gala apples enhanced with cinnamon and sugar, perfect for any occasion.

  • 4 Gala apples (cored and quartered)
  • 0.25 cups sugar
  • 0.125 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 scoop vanilla ice cream
  • 1 dollop whipped cream
  • Chopped nuts (for added crunch)

Instructions

  1. Wash Gala apples thoroughly under cold water, then core and quarter them.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together sugar and ground cinnamon.
  3. Toss quartered apples in the sugar-cinnamon mixture until well coated.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the coated apple quarters in a single layer.
  6. Roast the apples in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, checking halfway through.
  7. When done, the apples should be soft yet hold their shape, then let them cool for a few minutes.
  8. Serve warm, optionally topped with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and chopped nuts.
