Decadent Triple Chocolate Banana Bread

A rich, moist banana bread bursting with chocolate flavor, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 3/4 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 cup Butter (unsalted, softened)
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar (dark brown preferred)
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 3 large Bananas (very ripe or blackened)
  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract (pure preferred)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a standard 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
  4. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, then mash and stir in the ripe bananas and vanilla until combined.
  6. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Do not over-mix.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Gently add the heavy cream to the batter.
  9. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  10. Bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  11. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, use very ripe bananas and avoid over-mixing the batter.
