A fun and spooky treat perfect for Halloween gatherings, these crispy bat wings are filled with creamy cheese and topped with ‘wings’ made from spaghetti noodles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 pieces Spring Roll Wrappers
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese
  • 1 tbsp Black Food Dye (optional)
  • 8 pieces Spaghetti Noodles (broken into suitable sizes)
  • 2 cups Cooking Oil (Vegetable or Canola)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients and clean your workspace.
  2. Make the cream cheese filling by mixing cream cheese and black food dye in a bowl.
  3. Fill each spring roll wrapper with about a tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture and seal them tightly.
  4. Add the broken spaghetti noodles as wings into the sides of the wrapped cream cheese filling before sealing.
  5. Heat oil in a deep pan until ready for frying.
  6. Fry the filled wrappers in batches until golden brown and crispy, then drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve your bat wings on a dark platter with garnishes and dipping sauces.

Notes

Keep an eye on the oil temperature to avoid burning; alternate fillings can add variety.
