  • 2 pounds Chicken Wings (Separated into drums and flats)
  • 1 large Egg
  • 3 tablespoons Oyster Sauce (or soy sauce for vegetarian option)
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce (low-sodium preferred)
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder (or fresh garlic, to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon White Pepper (or black pepper)
  • Oil for frying (Vegetable or peanut oil recommended)
  • 1 cup All-purpose Flour (or gluten-free flour)
  • 1/2 cup Cornstarch (or rice flour, optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder

Instructions

  1. Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry using paper towels.
  2. In a large bowl, marinate the chicken wings with the oyster sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, and white pepper. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, and baking powder.
  4. Beat the egg in a small bowl until smooth.
  5. Coat each marinated wing with the beaten egg, then roll in the flour-cornstarch mixture.
  6. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  7. Fry the wings in batches for 8-10 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve immediately while hot and crispy.

Notes

For added flavor, serve with dipping sauces like sweet and sour or hot mustard. You can also garnish with chopped green onions or sesame seeds.
