Chocolate Chip Cookies

Delicious chocolate chip cookies that are soft in the middle with a slight crunch on the edges, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until creamy for about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add vanilla and eggs; beat well.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture; mix until just combined.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

For thicker cookies, consider chilling the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking.
