Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Deliciously moist banana bread studded with rich chocolate chips, perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter and mashed bananas.
  3. Stir in baking soda and a pinch of salt.
  4. Add sugar and mix well.
  5. Beat the egg separately, then mix it with vanilla and add to the banana mixture.
  6. Gradually incorporate flour until just combined.
  7. Fold in chocolate chips.
  8. Pour batter into a greased loaf pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 60-65 minutes, checking doneness with a toothpick.
  10. Cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  11. Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Use ripe bananas for the best flavor. Don’t overmix to keep the bread light and fluffy.
